Two Stars 2017.
Judges Comments:
Table 5: Thick, amber-coloured unctuous honey with a backnote of toffee/caramel. We really love the fragrant heather notes. It is not overly sweet and is one you could happily go back to for spoonful after spoonful. Excellent honey.
Table 4: An amber coloured runny honey with defined heather notes. Fresh and light, with a clean soothing flavour.
Table R1: Good amber coloured honey, clear and well filtered. The flavour is a little harsh, but has some good following flavour. Unfortunately the filtering may have stripped some of the character from it.
Table 99G: An aroma which has bracken, heather, moorland flora and the flavour on the palate is everything caught on the nose. Herbaceous, not overly sweet. A little wet - so it melts away gently on the finish.
